Dive Site Map is a research and planning reference. It is not a navigation product, safety system, or substitute for local knowledge, current charts, training, or a qualified dive plan.
About the data and safety
Historical NOAA AWOIS and UKHO data via EMODnet are reference locations, not verified recreational dive sites. Estimated depths use GEBCO bathymetry or NOAA Great Lakes bathymetry. Community directories are discovery signals; detailed records link to independent agencies, operators, or surveys when available.
Markers show nearby grid areas while zoomed out. At zoom level 12 or closer, a human-verified session can request precise catalog positions under a rate limit.
Positions, access, depths, and live conditions may be approximate. Verify current local rules and conditions, plan within your training, and never use this map for navigation.
Acceptable use
You may use the public site for personal research, trip planning, and ordinary noncommercial browsing. You may link to individual map views and quote limited portions of original descriptions with a link back to this site.
You may not use automated tools to extract the catalog in bulk, systematically reconstruct the database, evade technical limits, overload the service, republish a substantial portion of the catalog, remove attribution, or falsely suggest that another product is affiliated with Dive Site Map. Written permission is required for bulk access, commercial reuse of original site content, or redistribution of the organized catalog.
Optional accounts
You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. Favorites and trip lists are convenience features and are not a navigation system, dive plan, or safety record. Accounts or saved content may be limited or removed when used for abuse, circumvention, unlawful activity, or interference with the service.

Data and media rights
The 50,142-location catalog combines factual reference information from public agencies, research organizations, community directories, dive operators, and editorial research. Facts such as coordinates, dates, and measured depths may have separate legal status from the selection, organization, and original writing presented here.

- European and United Kingdom references link to EMODnet or their identified originating source where available.
- OpenStreetMap map tiles and map data are credited to OpenStreetMap contributors.
- Wikimedia images retain their individual author and license attribution, linked from the location detail.
- Operator, agency, survey, and community material remains subject to the rights and terms of its identified source.
A link or citation does not grant a new license to third-party material. Review the linked source before reusing its text, images, charts, or datasets.
No warranty
Locations, access rules, depths, hazards, site status, and conditions can be incomplete, approximate, or outdated. Use of the site is at your own risk. Always verify a site independently and dive within your certification, experience, equipment limits, and applicable law.
Enforcement and changes
Access may be limited or blocked when traffic indicates bulk collection, circumvention, abuse, or a threat to service availability. These terms may be updated as the catalog, sources, and service change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
